Love these recipes!

Excelent! So many ideas and really nice pictures.

While I love pie, I was not impressed with this cookbook. It is written by an Australian chef and intended for an Australian kitchen. It calls for ingredients that are not available in the U.S., yet makes NO suggestions for substitutions that might be available here. Also, it calls for pie pans that are not the standard U.S. size. Typically, when you buy a cookbook written by a foreign chef it has been edited to fit the American kitchen. Not the case with this book. While you may find some recipes that you can duplicate here, I'd rather spend my money on one of the many pie-themed cookbooks where ALL the recipes can easily be followed without having to guess at appropriate substitutions and modifications.

I love this book. There's a little bit of conversions, but if anything, using grams is a more accurate form of measurement than cups. The pies in here and both delicious and unique, always a big hit with anyone you're serving. Not only that, but the photography of the pies throughout the book are absolutely gorgeous - even if i didn't love the recipes, I could keep it as a photo album!

Some interesting ideas, but not written for the American kitchen and some unappetizing shortcuts. I adore pie, but not these. I returned this.

I'm fairly certain there is not a book by this author that I do not love.This is Harper and Liam's book. As with all of her books we are given a hot sexy man who sees a woman for all that she is. Liam sees Harper and hears her sass and knows that she's the one for him. Now to convince Harper.Harper has kissed a lot of frogs and is tired of looking for her one. Then she meets Liam.Love at first sight some believe (Liam) some doubt (Harper).This story flows so well. The banter between Harper and Liam's and between Harper and her guys is wonderful. I really enjoyed how Liam was so sure Harper was meant to be his wife from the first meeting. I love how she gained her confidence in herself as a business woman throughout the story. But I hate how she allowed uncertainty and fear to slow down their progress. I was glad when she finally got it together. I LOVED that this will be a series with these group of women who all have guy names. I also love how they build each other up instead of finding ways to tear each other down.

Liam and Harper was just the it couple for me. I loved how fiesty yet vulnerable Harper is. She’s willing to go toe to toe with Liam about any business matter. She willing to put in the hard work to help launch her and her friends business venture, but when it comes to love she’s hesitant because she been burned to bad in her past relationships. But Liam is a fighter in business and all other aspects of his life. He see Harper and knows she is going to be his wife and he will not settle for anything less. Excellent interracial romance. I love Liam, I think he's a great character because he is driven and knows what he wants. I also like his straight-forwardness, his determination and his patience with Harper is admirable. I like Harper too, she is career-driven and just as determined to not be in a relationship as Liam is determined to marry her. Their love story is short, steamy and stays focused on the plot which I also love. Read this nonstop and enjoyed every page, anxiously await to read the next one in this series. This is probably the WORST textbook I have ever owned. Cannot even read past a paragraph. The interior structure and design of the book is just black and white, which makes it so hard to study. Stacks and stacks of words crammed up all together in a page with barely any illustration or spaces in between. Buying this is pointless, since you probably would not be able to understand not learn from it. I would burn this book if I didn't have to return it. Even my prof doesn't want to use it- but still required us to buy it!

I've read A LOT of IT-related books throughout my education and career. I'm working on my second MS degree, and I've worked in the IT field for approximately 10 years. This is definitely the worst book I've read. Overall, the content is good, but I had to force myself to finish each chapter. The review questions are awful and don't match up well with the content. If you are looking for material to instruct a class please look elsewhere.

One of the worst written textbooks I have ever had to use. This is very clearly not written by someone with much textbook writing experience. It is so information dense and takes an incredible amount of time to dissect. Most sentences are many, many ideas strung together and separated by multiple commas.Schools/professors - I beg of you not to use this textbook.Much of the Cisco Academy material covers the same topics but is written in a format and style that is magnitudes easier to digest than this text.

Didn't like this book .. hard to comprehend unless you are a complete computer Gizmo .. otherwise definitely not for the amateur.

Basic text for first or second year computer science student. Lacks in addressing practical issues facing today's integration challenges and the movement to Cloud and AI architectures.

I've been gifted, loaned and purchased many grief books in the two years since my son died. I can honestly say that none of those texts resonated with me and the truth of my grief experience more than Megan Devine's new book. She is a credible source of useful information, bringing not only her educational and occupational background to bear but more importantly her own life experience with deep loss and a broken culture. Above all, she is a truth teller and an advocate you'll want in your grief space.The beauty of this book is the universal insights it offers for EVERYONE who has experienced deep grief or desires to genuinely support another in their loss. The author outlines a refreshing take on grief for the reader's consideration, one where acknowledgment and a desire to love better are critical components in supporting ourselves and each other following a significant loss (ie. death, accident, illness, etc.) She adeptly explains the model's concepts in lay terms, provides numerous examples for better understanding, and recommends practical exercises that one can use to help identify and manage the impact of grief. The quotes from her writing students are especially relevant and poignant.I found Megan's work validating and thought-provoking, especially concepts such as her broader definition of "early grief", common platitudes (and why I feel their adverse affect), the critical distinction between pain and suffering (and how to minimize latter), grief as an experiment rather than a problem to be solved, and the vital role of acknowledgment and companionship in creating a way forward. One of my favorite sections is the appendix, an essay on helping a grieving friend, which offers carefully-crafted and readily shareable ground rules for supporting a loved one.I'd recommend reading this book if you or a loved one are in the midst of deep grief and looking for validation, guidance, and honesty in a post-loss world. This book, and especially the associated resources available at refugeingrief.com, are powerful tools for navigating your grief landscape with love and understanding. It's permission to grieve in your way and in your time ... and this has made all the difference in my own post-loss landscape.

The book is great in many ways, but I got quite turned off early on when she ranks deaths and makes it clear that there are some more worthy of prolonged grief than others. The examples of unworthy losses are pets and grandparents. (Neither were the reason I bought the book, personally.) Her own personal worthy death was the unexpected loss of her husband in his late thirties. In my experience, the intensity of the loss has more to do with the meaning the loss had to the individual, not how non-normative it is.

This is the book I wish I had read when I was writing a sympathy card and straining to figure out what to say to make it better (nothing will make it better), or when someone spoke about a horrible loss and I thought I was on the spot to say something to help the person get closer to closure (there is no closure).This is the book I wish I had read before my wife died, and person after person heaped misguided platitudes and unsolicited advice, and the world demanded words when I had none.The best time to read this book is before you need it - chapter 9 details why, going into detail about how grief alters the mind - throws us into a wordless place, obliterates concentration, alters experiences of memory and sense of time, and viscerally commands a new perspective on what matters. It can take years to realize a new normal.Each chapter is short, each sentence to the point. The table of contents is clearly labeled and well organized so that readers can quickly identify which pages to read to better understand and respond to a specific need or experience. 

This book has given me a better appreciation of the non-negotiable demands grieving places on body and mind. I let go of the misplaced effort to rush myself or others through "healing" or toward a "completion" that can never be, and now know how to be present with unbearable pain and unfixable horror.

I disagree with other people who say that Megan is giving off a tone of anger. She's not angry, she's raw, honest, & direct as to how this loss affected her & how most grief resources she had at the time didn't help her with her profound loss.I have followed her site, Refuge In Grief for over a year or more now. I have had a lot of profound losses in my life - friends, family members, & other people in my life. I'm about to lose my father. I am reading this now, & it's helping me with all of it present & past pain. It may not be a perfect fit for everyone, as everyone grieves differently but I know Megan is out to help people in deep pain who feel misunderstood & alone with this weight. Her intent is true. I'm glad the book is out there, I've gifted it to some friends & family that I hope it will resonate with & help.

Handling loss is an inevitable part of life, yet our cultural and social norms fail badly to equip us in this area. It's Ok That You're Not Ok should be required reading for all of us to lean how to handle this part of life. While I haven't experienced an out of order death myself, I found the information in the book to be immensely helpful, and I feel less scared to hold what can feel like the awkward grief of someone else.

The book has step by step information and how to be more psychic. I agree with the other reviewers, the CD alone is worth the money I spent. John Holland has a very soothing voice and his book reflects a totally understanding soul. No matter what level you are in learning to be more Psychic, this book has something for everyone. Sure hope that John Holland comes out with more CD'S. What a great gift he is sharing with the world.Thanks John!

I really enjoyed this book. The main focus is working with psychic abilities but also chakras. He not only explains how to open up our abilities but also how to ramp the down for daily life.There are a couple of things every book on this subject seems to say that I don't agree with. I don't think we are all equally psychic. I believe that, like all other talents and abilities, everyone is different. I've always been psychic, but don't ask me to sing!The guided meditation CD that comes with the book is great. It walks you through a wonderful chakra opening and closing process. I will be using it again and again.

He truly is gifted and this meditation CD has become my favorite to meditate by...You won't be sorry you purchased this product!

A perfect book for a newbie in Psychic Development as well being great for a refresher for experienced psychics. I love John Holland's down to earth style in this book. He is a very competent teacher in this realm. Easy to follow guidance.

I worked with this book on a daily basis and enjoyed the progression and structure of the book. In addition to offering much-needed guidance on psychic experience, it's a great basic introduction to chakras and meditation, so even for those looking to dip their toes in the water of mindful consciousness, this book is a gift. I do wish the form were larger--it's a small, square book. But that's nothing really to complain about. I liked the book so much and found it so useful that I'm now moving on to another John Holland book.

I have to start with this...I absolutely LOVED this book, but the CD is AMAZING! I admit, I am a bit of a collector when it comes to different meditation CDs and programs, but this CD is one of the best I own. The book is very well done, laid out beautifully and has a very pleasing usage of photography to accent what is being said. But the CD is what blew me away. For the last three months, since I got the CD, I have listened to one and on occasion both of the tracks every single day! The 20 minute one is the perfect length to start your day off beautifully - grounded and prepared to meet the world. John's sincerity just palpates through the audio, you can just feel how much he loves his work! The CD has not been removed from my little bedside CD player and every morning before I get out of bed I just pop on my headphones and start my day with John! I urge you to just click and buy this item. I cannot imagine you will be disappointed!

This book mentions some great exercises on how to help people get more in touch with their intuition.It also has helpful information reguarding auras as well.I like the fact it comes with a cd and you can hear John Hollands voice while doing the meditations on the cd.

The book discuss a lot of interesting facts of the human mind and energy. Particularly, I was fascinated by the discussion of gut feeling about someone based on the information you pick up from their "aura" or energy around that body which you are picking up their thoughts and feelings. It is a great book to have in building communication and getting in touch with your intuition.
