Trust me, if you hate laughing while reading, then please stay away from this book. It is hilarious and more than a few times I had to put down my Kindle for fear that my laughing hysterically would cause me to drop it, break it, and make me sad all of the sudden.The only itch is that it could have been longer, but I suppose that's a compliment as well. The 'behind the scenes' stories were hilarious. We all knew that Greg Oden was a great guy, this confirmed it (other than one incident later in life), we perhaps didn't know much about Evan Turner other than his decent NBA career, but he comes off as interesting guy, with a startling sense of perspective at times. Mark Titus is a jokester, someone who was aware of his limitations as a player, and thus moved along accordingly. He was the peanut gallery, and I don't know that a book like this told from Turner's perspective as a 'star' would be as effective.Is this another The Breaks of the Game? Of course not, it never tries to be. It gives you a time (2006-10), a place (Columbus, Ohio for the most part), and setting (hoops, because if Titus had a personal life while he was in Columbus, well he rarely touches on it here). Good enough for me. If you want more of his writing, he's become one of Bill Simmons' crew of loyalists, and has worked with him at Grantland and The Ringer.

Overall, a pretty good book. Titus is definitely a funny guy. I am not an basketball fan, and I'm absolutely not a fan of anything originating at Ohio State University. However I read this book anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. I liked the inside details of life in a big-time NCAA basketball program, and I also enjoyed his no holds-barred, I don't care who I offend style of writing. Towards the end, it all got a little old, but the book was almost finished at that point. Overall, this book is worth your time.

Easy read. Sarcastic and humorous look into college sports. Titus pokes fun at the whole college sports culture. Warning - this is full of bathroom humor and includes some R rated stories - not for kids. I'm glad I read this before giving to my young basketball-obsessed middle schooler.

even though i am not an ohio state fan, i can relate to being on the bench as a sub. pretty easy read. i will pass this on to my ohio state fans.

A lighthearted yet true story of life in the competitive world of basketball. It is a human story not necessarily one of solely basketball. Worth a read for anyone interested in how someone deals with the challenges of being an athlete at a big time school. Again, it's a comical look at life and not only about sports.

I'm a huge college basketball fan and Titus offers a great insider's look into the game, the atmosphere, and the team. Some will be turned off by the sophomoric humor but if nothing else it feels honest.It's a quick read without just skimming details. I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys college basketball.

Loved the book. As a long-time high school, college,and service team athlete, I could identify with all of it. There is so much politics and phoniness in who plays and who doesn't, it should be examined and made fun of. Mark Titus was honest throughout and didn't pull any punches. Very accurate in all respects. Recomend you buy it and read it thoroughly.

HIs art is focused on nature and he captures the personality of each of his subjects with the simple use of graphic design and color - frequently with great humor and joyfulness. I would not even give this book one star, except that was the lowest rating offered!! Extremely large print, everything is in general terms that EVERYONE already knows, and in no way does it relay the information promised (how to raise your credit score from 500 to 800 in 6 months or less. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this so-called e-book! This is the last and only book that anyone should purchase from this author.

This book is very and can be read cover to cover in fifteen minutes, I do not think it was worth the price. However, it is very to the point and easy to follow and the tips offered have seemed logical and easy to follow.

First of all, I never write reviews. But this book was so terribly written that I am floored that it is even allowed to be sold anywhere! It is about a quarter of an inch thick, only 32 pages long. The first half of the book describes credit and what it is, an entire page of the book lists the credit reporting agencies' addresses, and the grammar is horrible throughout the entire thing!!!! Here is the 2nd to last sentence in the book: "They only seen an 805 credit score and basically was satisfied with that." Here's another sentence: "...tell the customer service personal that you would like to rebuttal each one of the negative items". Really? This type of writing wouldn't have been even close to acceptable in my 9th grade English class. Personal? You mean personnel? And rebuttal is a noun, not a verb, you can't rebuttal something. Oh, my gosh. This book drives me crazy.Please please please don't waste your money on thirty-two large-font pages describing what credit is, why you shouldn't use credit repair agencies, how to pay your bills on time, and advice that you should just call the credit agencies and tell them you want to dispute everything. If you can't resist because the cover is so awesome, just promise me you'll get on Amazon after you have received your book and realize twenty minutes later that you have finished it, receiving no information. I don't even think the length of this book would have been acceptable for one of my college essays.I'm pretty disappointed I have to give one star... this book deserves zero.
