While the photos are beyond stunning and there is some helpful tips and info inside, I was heartbroken to open the box and find this product in such awful shape. There were MULTIPLE cracks and tears to both the front and back covers and the inside cover was rippled. I had planned on giving this as a Christmas gift, but obviously I couldn’t possibly give this train wreck to someone. I don’t know if I just happened to get an awful copy or if the publishers of this book put out truly horrible craftsmanship.
The approach that this book takes to traveling, budgets, and activities is really fun to go through. For each month, you walk through a flow chart of the choices you would make while vacationing: adventure or leisure, budget-friendly or splurge, and the book recommends places for you to go. Then each option that could have been selected, has a full page or two describing the place, the culture and events that may be happening during that month. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to begin their travels or even find something new to do for the experienced traveler.
Always love the Lonely Planet books! Offers great description of the places and of course when to travel for what season. Very informative.

I didn't realize when I ordered the book; it was a hardcover. It is a beautiful book, with stunning images. Can't wait to peruse and plan my adventures.

Bought this as a Christmas present and I wish that I had bought one for myself. (I still might). This book was an amazing purchase! The travel guide is super fun and helpful and the pciture quality is beautiful. This is a book for those who are ready and willing to pack up and go!
