Some of the recipes are not correct. A few is missing an ingredient in the recipe such as the peanut butter patties, the dough came out runny as if its missing another " flour" ingredient because half cup of coconut flour listed isn't enough. So I had to toy with almond flour to try get it to the right dough consistency to be able to roll it out. This make me wary of what other recipes could be missing ingredients that I could end up wasting money on ingredients on failed listed recipes. The editor needs to verify these recipes before printing.
I'm so excited to add this book to my repertoire of Paleo cookbooks! Snacks are the one area where I feel the most inadequate in terms of providing my kids with healthy and tasty options. This book fills that void. The pictures are gorgeous and the recipes are all straight forward and quick and easy to make. The author has also included a great introduction and guide to Paleo ingredients that would be very helpful to those new to cooking and baking in this way. Since receiving this book yesterday, I've already made both Pigs in a Blanket and the Molten Lava Cakes to rave reviews from my family of 5. My kids swear that you should buy the book just for the Lava Cake recipe alone! We've dog-eared a bunch more pages and we can't wait to try out more of these super user friendly recipes!
I really like this book - the recipes are easy and everything I have made tastes fabulous. My one complaint is that none of the recipes have nutritional info. I would like to know the amount of protein, sugar, carbs, fiber, etc. Otherwise a great book.
I bought this as a wonderful way to make items that everyone can eat. Paleolithic means no inflammatory allergy foods so I can easily make something for everyone. They also happen to taste incredible so this is an easy item to write a review about. I liked it so much that I purchased another copy for my neighbor who was having a difficult time for a family party and wa_la - no more issues. Just lots of delicious and easy recips to enjoy. I especially like how it's organized as it's really easy to find what you are looking for and also that on the top of each page there is a picture that indicates which food issues the recipe works for. That makes it really clear and simple. I also like that everything is healthy so I can make a snack or a meal out of the recipes. And I have. The last comment is on the explanations about food and paleo which I found to be awesome and very clear. The info was excellently communicated and easy to understand. Some of the info I haven't seen before which made it very interesting to read from cover to cover. I highly recommend this item.
This cookbook was a game changer for me. I was desperately craving baked goods after eliminating gluten and most sugar from diet. The pumpkin muffin recipe is delicious and absolutely satisfies my cravings with just a minimal amount of low-glycemic coconut sugar. Most of the recipes are simple, and offer great snack and mini meal options for those of us who have sworn off processed foods. Photos are beautiful and inspiring.
LOVE this book! Every single recipe that I have made so far has been fantastic. This book has single-handedly made going Paleo so much easier for me and my teenaged son and my teenaged daughter and husband are somewhat going Paleo by default and are not complaining because everything tastes so good! Favorites so far include: blueberry muffins, egg muffins, zesty walnut Brussels sprouts, crispy maple granola, crunchy sweet potato fries, crunchy omega-3 flax granola and savory baked chicken nuggets (the whole family's favorite!). Buy without reservation...it will be your favorite cookbook from the first recipe you make!
I love this book, have made many recipes and they are yummy. There are a lot of snacks that can easily made into meals. Not just sweets and desserts. My husband has Diabetes and Dr suggested Paleo. He is a carb sugar addict and he is loving the meals I have made.
This book is my favorite Paleo cookbook and I have tons of them! Every recipe I've tried is fantastic and you feel good about what you are eating. This book made my transition to Paleo SO much easier and enjoyable. Love the graham crackers, multi seed crackers, BEEF JERKY!!, smart bars, and so many more!!!! I'm on a mission to try every recipe!!
